Five months ago the seeds of an idea were first formed as the soon-to-be founded team of a new cryptocurrency venture. We were discussing the merits of decentralized finance. DeFi was the new technology that had taken the world of cryptocurrency by storm. Needless to say, it had its fair share of both optimism and supporters, criticism and detractors. However, at the time, we knew the conversation shouldn’t be about what DeFi was, but rather what DeFi could become. The potential was palpable, for a truly revolutionary new frontier of finance built on blockchain and smart contracts, promising a new paradigm of decentralisation, innovation and inclusivity…

The foundational bricks for DeFi were being laid, and we realised, that this was the time and the opportunity to create something incredible.

Those seeds had germinated into a tree, and the idea had transformed into a vision. A vision to build a DeFi ecosystem from the ground up, that would change the world.

The world of DeFi, the world of cryptocurrencies, and finally, the world, for real.

It was an extraordinarily bold vision. It required flawless execution, with months of blood, sweat, and toil.

But as Steve Jobs once said,
